DOUGLAS J KAFOURE
Platinum Agent – President/Agent
Doug is a GuideOne Platinum agent with the largest GuideOne career agency in Indiana, and the 2nd largest in the Midwest. He is certified in “Risk Management for Churches and Schools” by Cambridge University, appointed a seat on the Advisory Council for Commercial Lines at GuideOne, and has been recognized with the Superstar production award 17 years, the Allstar award 3 years, 15 consecutive company “Topper” awards, won the President’s Circle award 3 years, and earned the company Commercial Career Star twice. Doug is a member of LeadingAge and maintains a position on the Professional Development Education Committee. In addition, Doug has been a long standing member of the National Association of Church Business Administration.
Our three licensed agents have a combined total of 84 consecutive years of insurance experience. Helping families and churches protect what has been entrusted to them by providing risk management, financial planning, and other special products and services are our mission. Sharon Lynn Snyder Corey
Office Manager and Personal Lines Specialist
Sharon began her career in the insurance industry with Dairyland Insurance back in 1980. She was quickly promoted to the position of auto underwriter and eventually designated their motorcycle specialist before leaving in 1986. She then moved to the agency side of insurance. There she spent the next 8 years with Lacey & Associates Insurance Agency where she was promoted to underwriting supervisor before leaving in 1996. Following this she spent the next 2 years working for Apollo Agency operating a satellite office located in a Credit Union lobby. In 1998 Sharon accepted a position with The Summer Group Insurance Agency where she spent the next 6 years as a personal lines risk manager. In 2004 she accepted position with Freeman & Pearce Insurance Agency as personal lines manager until the Fall of 2010 when she got married and moved from California to Indiana. Sharon spent a short time as a multi-line representative for Tom Grimsey of State Farm and then at Private Capital Management Group before settling in and accepting a position here at The Douglas J Kafoure Insurance Agency. In 2007 Sharon was honored as having served 15 years of Excellence by The Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives, a designation she still maintains today.
